Works perfect for my 2011 Harley-Davidson Haritage Softail. I'm a large person and have difficulty reaching the ground from a seated position on the Bike, this pad makes it much easier to use quickly and with out much effort. The bonus is it safe gaurds the left side of my bike from anyone getting to close by mistake.Thank you to the manufaturer!!!!

My bike is a Yamaha FJR, and therefore has a high, non-adjustable (as the only latest ones do) saddle. That means, like most of this genre, unless one has orangutan arms, its a very long reach down to the ground to place a normal , unattached, kickstand plate under the kickstand (on soft ground).Likewise, with a far higher center of gravity than a cruiser, one has to lean the bike over pretty far to reach down even partly (unless you have giraffe legs).[Notice the product picture of the rider with the relatively straight leg on a cruiser with a low saddle-like around 26", with his foot flat on the ground. Most crotch-rockets and their longer range cousins have seat heights around 31.5-32 inches, and their rider are often tipoes on the ground unless the bike is leaned over.]So, one must pitch the traditional kickstand plate to the ground, like horseshoes, hope it lands flat and doesn't roll off somewhere, hope it lands more or less close to where your kickstand will come down, try to fine tune it into place, with the same foot on which you are holding your leaning ,high center of gravity bike, and hopefully are not only on soft, but very soft (as in rain saturated, or very hot slippery soft asphalt...OR you buy this product, which collapses nicely into a small enough package to fit in your glove box, tank bag, etc. And you get the further benefits in reverse when it's time to retrieve the plate, which is even harder (although some merely tie a piece of string or fishing line to the plate for retrieval.Wonderful idea!My sole criticism is the the telescoping stalk on which the whole arrangement depends is more flimsy than I would prefer. Although mine has not yet been bent, I'm confident, or at least fearful, it soon will be.There are other telescoping stalks like these, which are about the same size overall, but stronger (such as those supporting collapsible back-scratchers.)With that small but important change, I would rate this 5 stars.

While sitting on your bike ..1. extend handle 2. lower to ground 3.place under kickstand.
Return to motorcycle and from sitting position 1. put kickstand up 2.pick up safeTkick 3.collapse handle and stow.
New product, nothing like it on the market ! Great gift idea, costs less than a pair of gloves !
